Campaign "Step Towards Support"

At the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, a large-scale campaign against violence, entitled "A Step Towards Support," is planned nationwide. The campaign begins on November 19, on the International Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse, and concludes on December 10 – International Human Rights Day.

Within the framework of this campaign, the Ministry is launching two contests: video and essay contests entitled "A Step Towards Support."

The aim of the contest is to make teenagers reflect on individuals whose rights have been or are currently being restricted; on people who have to endure humiliation, pain, violence, and insult because they lack the support of their peers, relatives, and society.

Students of grades VII-XII of the basic and secondary levels of public and private schools in Georgia are eligible to participate in the contest.

We encourage you to participate in the contests, be active, and thereby contribute to the campaign directed against violence.
