Teacher evaluation criteria will be established by the State Commission
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia has submitted to the Government of Georgia a special commission that will develop regulatory documents for the Teacher's Activity Commencement, Professional Development and Career Advancement Scheme.
The commission commenced its work starting today. Tamar Sanikidze, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, met with the members of the commission. Organizational matters regarding the commission's work were discussed at the meeting.
The members of the special state commission, consisting of 19 members, are representatives from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Ilia State University, trade unions, as well as teachers and directors from the school community, a representative from the city self-government, various state agencies, non-governmental organizations working on education issues, and educational experts who will also participate in the commission's activities.
