Registration announced for those wishing to pass exams in external studies form
Examinations will be held from March 4 to March 20, 2015. Persons whose age corresponds to or exceeds the age group of students in the grade to be completed through externship have the right to register, provided they have completed the educational program of the preceding grade/semester.
An interested adult or the legal representative of an interested minor is authorized to submit an application and relevant documentation for registration as an extern to the Resource Center.
a) A person wishing to complete general education in the form of externship, if studying at a school, must submit the application to the Resource Center within whose operational territory the respective school is located;
b) If the person does not study at a school โ the application shall be submitted to any Resource Center, according to the person's preference.
A person who successfully achieves the level of attainment established by the national curriculum in the form of externship is obliged to successfully pass the school leaving examinations in order to receive a document certifying complete general education.
In order to complete general education in the form of externship, the following must be submitted to the Resource Center:
- An application by an interested adult or the legal representative of an interested minor for receiving education in the form of externship, which shall indicate:
- The name, surname, and contact information (address, telephone number) of the person wishing to receive education in the form of externship;
- The individual grade/grades/semester of general education, as well as the subject/subjects included in the individual grade/semester, which the person wishes to complete in the form of externship;
- The language in which the person wishing to receive education in the form of externship desires to take the externship examination (Georgian, Russian, Azerbaijani, Armenian);
- Foreign language/languages in which the person wishing to receive education in the form of externship is to be tested, if applicable;
- The elective subject/subjects provided by the national curriculum that the person wishing to complete general education in the form of externship desires to take;
- A copy of the birth certificate or identity document of the person wishing to receive education in the form of externship;
- In case of registration for the examination to complete an individual grade/grades/semester of general education in the form of externship, a document confirming the person's mastery of the general educational program of the grade/semester that precedes the grade/semester to be completed through externship. In the event that the person received education abroad, the document confirming the completion of the respective educational program must be recognized in accordance with the rule established by legislation;
- In case of registration for the examination to complete a subject/subjects included in an individual grade/semester of the secondary stage in the form of externship, a certificate issued by the school confirming that the person is required to complete the general educational program of the subject/subjects included in the individual grade/semester of the secondary stage of general education in the form of externship.
The examination for completion in the form of externship is conducted in a written form, through testing, and is administered by the school where the student studies or where the person wishes to continue their studies.
The examination for completing the general educational program/programs of the subject/subjects included in the 12th grade (Georgian Language and Literature, Mathematics, History, English Language, Civil Defense and Security) in the form of externship is conducted centrally, in electronic form.
Please also be informed that a gold or silver medal certificate shall not be issued to a person who has successfully completed the general educational program/programs of the secondary stage grade/grades, or the subject/subjects included in an individual grade of the secondary stage, in the form of externship.
