New Perspectives for Cooperation with Belarus
In order to implement the agreements reached within the framework of Georgian-Belarusian economic cooperation, an interagency representative delegation of Belarus visited Georgia. The delegation included Sergei Chizhik, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, who met with Giorgi Sharvashidze, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia.
According to Sergei Chizhik, Georgia has managed to preserve its scientific potential, and therefore, Belarus is highly interested in cooperating with the Georgian side in the scientific field.
The meeting focused on deepening partner educational and scientific relations between the two countries. As agreed by the parties, work will begin on new cooperation agreements and joint projects will be developed. Bilateral relations will enable Georgian youth, professors, teachers, and scientists to participate in exchange programs and various joint projects.
