Regular Meeting of the National Vocational Council Held
An extended meeting of the thematic working group on work-based learning of the National Vocational Education Council was held. The work of the group is being facilitated by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) project "Modernization of Vocational Education and Extension Systems in Georgia's Agriculture," with the financial support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). Ketevan Natriashvili, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, attended the meeting.
Within the framework of the meeting, the concept of work-based learning in Georgia, its essence and methodology, management structure and institutional framework, quality assurance mechanisms, and other related topics were discussed.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and its subordinate agencies, members of the thematic working group, international donor organizations, social partners, as well as invited and local experts.
