Vocational college teachers share their German experience

The new stage in vocational education incorporates the involvement of private sector to its development. This stage is of significant importance, as it prioritizes the training of teachers and tutors. In this regard, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia within the scope of "Private Sector Development in South Caucasus" Project, successfully cooperates with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).  In this context, numerous initiatives are being implemented, which not only covers the vocational education development, but also contributes to the successful cooperation of Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan in terms of sharing knowledge and experience, in the South Caucasus.

The project "Vocational Training Program for Vocational Education Specialists", constitutes to retraining and increasing qualification of young Georgian, Azerbaijani and Armenian professionals in terms of pedagogy, didactics, management and administrative activities.

A short-term vocational education program consists of three phases, which comprises of seven modules. The initial program modules will be taught in Georgia, while the rest of the educational modules will continue to run in Germany.

The above-mentioned initiative will help the winners of the competition from those three countries to expand their knowledge and catch up with the latest trends in vocational education. In addition, this will enable them use the knowledge of the German vocational education system for the benefit of their country.
