Project "Cheerful Lessons on Nutrition" is expanding

Five new schools from Tbilisi and the regions have joined the global program "Nestlé Healthy Kids – Fun Lessons on Nutrition". The piloting of the program began in 2011, aiming to promote a healthy lifestyle—specifically healthy nutrition, hygiene, and physical activity—among 2nd and 3rd-grade students. A total of 6,858 students from 36 schools across Georgia are participating in the project, representing a 48% increase in the number of participants compared to the previous year.
The project also involves schoolteachers, who undergo annual training on a healthy lifestyle and receive materials developed within the framework of the project free of charge. Specifically, these include: textbooks for 2nd and 3rd-grade students, covering lessons, quizzes, and exercises on a healthy lifestyle; a methodological guide for 2nd and 3rd-grade homeroom teachers, containing information on conducting lessons and quizzes; and visual, educational materials for parents.
The program is implemented by the non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal entity "Healthy Gen", the company "Nestlé Georgia", with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
