Photo Exhibition "Technological Heritage of Georgia"

The photo exhibition "Technological Heritage of Georgia" has been opened. The project is implemented by the Millennium Challenge Fund Georgia and the Millennium Challenge Corporation in cooperation with the National Archives of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.
The aim of the exhibition is to introduce the public to the achievements of 20th-century Georgia in the fields of technology and innovation, as well as to provide information about Georgia's historical intellectual potential, state formation, and the contribution made by Georgian scientists to the global scientific space.
In the last century, Georgia closely cooperated with Western countries in the exchange of intellectual and technological resources. Innovations were created within the country, and high-tech strategic facilities were constructed. Georgian science constituted an important part of the European scientific space. Consequently, Georgia was developing at a rapid pace as a modern Western state.
The exposition presents photographic materials concerning Georgian scientists and public figures who made significant achievements in the fields of technology and innovation. It also features unique photographs depicting significant inventions and technological projects implemented in Georgia.
The development of technologies is a priority for our country, because in the 21st century, the country's economic progress is largely determined by the innovations and technologies it creates. Accordingly, the Millennium Challenge Fund Georgia, with the support of the U.S. Governmentโs Millennium Challenge Corporation, is implementing educational projects from 2013 to 2019 to promote the development of the quality of engineering and technological education in Georgia and to train internationally competitive, highly qualified professionals in these fields across general, vocational, and higher education.
