Mikheil Chkhenkeli met with the Head of the Council of Europe Office in Georgia

Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Mikheil Chkhenkeli met with Christian Urse, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Georgia.

During the meeting, Mikheil Chkhenkeli expressed his satisfaction with the fruitful cooperation existing with the Council of Europe in the field of education. Among the joint projects, the programs implemented by the Council of Europe regarding the integration of civic education in schools and the promotion of accessibility to learning the state language for national minorities were of particular importance.

The representative of the Council of Europe emphasized that the Council of Europe is ready to be maximally involved in the process of reforming the education and science sector of Georgia.

The parties reviewed prospective areas for potential cooperation and expressed hope that in the case of future projects as well, the cooperation will remain intensive and fruitful.
