The winning team of the innovation competition will travel to NASA

Millennium Challenge Corporation has revealed the winners of the innovation competition. The first place was awarded the gymnasium AIA GESS’ project -  "Robot Labourant". The author of the project will travel to the NASA Space Center and participate in the educational program.

Within the scope of the event, students from the 8th - 12th grades presented their innovative inventions and projects the participating guests and visitors in Batumi, Vani, Khoni, Telavi, village Patardzeuli and Tbilisi.

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Mikheil Chkhenkeli, The Executive Director of Millennium Challenge Account - Magda Magradze and the US Ambassador to Georgia - Elizabeth Rudy addressed the students and guests during the event.

The Millennium Innovation Competition aims at encouraging innovations and new technologies in youth. Competition has been implemented since 2014, involving 280 teams and up to 1000 students. The Competition is being implemented by Millennium Challenge Fund with the financial support of the US Embassy in cooperation with the Georgian Innovations and Technologies Agency and the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
