Mikheil Batiashvili: "I am glad to meet you and I am immensely delighted with your beligerent hard work and the success that you have achieved at the World Championship. The world's championship is undoubtedly a clear example and demonstration of your professionalism. In addition, this success is the joint and purposeful work of the Ministry and the Wrestling Federation and by the immense work the coaches have put in anticipation of the Championship. It is especially heartwarming that our Geno Petriashvili has won the gold medal and that he naturally became the second-best wrestler in the world. Geno has won the most prestigious heavy weight titles. Needless to say, it is very difficult to protect and maintain this title. Overall, winning six medals at the World Championship is a great achievement!

Wrestling has always been a part of Georgia and our cultural identity. Our constant achievements at the international stage is a pleasant continuation of our ancient tradition. You are the sportsmen who have  given our country a lot of victories in the past, I and am sure you will continue to do so in the coming future”.
