The best were awarded
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia
revealed the best schoolchildren, school principals, resource officers, the
schools and the head of resource centers of 2011.
- The best schoolchild- Levan Kapitanovi- the student of Tbilisi public school #116 ;
- The best teacher- Nunu Nebieridze- teacher at the Tbilisi Public School#61;
- The best teacher- Gela Abramishvili- volunteer teacher, participant of the program “Georgia Language for Future Success”;
- The best teacher - Walter Zeno-Munoz- native English teacher, participant of the program “Teach and Learn with Georgia”;
- The best school principal- Akaki Khuskivadze- principal of Tbilisi Public School #161;
- The best resource officers- Guram Iluridze (Tbilisi public school #166; Jilda Jalaghonia (Zugdidi public school #4) Lia Kevanishvili- Tbilisi Backswood International School,
- The best public school- Kvareli public school#2;
- The best private school- Georgian- American high school;
- The best head of resource center- Ivane Kordzadze- Vani resource center.
The Minister awarded the nominees with special prizes; the best student will study in the summer school in London, UK upon the decision of the Minister.
The Ministry is planning to encourage the successful performers in the education system to recognize their achievements in the future as well.
