Dimitri Shashkini met with the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Mr. John Boehner
During his visit to the United
States of America, the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Mr. Dimitri
Shashkini, held a working meeting at the United States Congress. The Minister
met with the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Mr. John
Boehner.
The conversation was focused on current democratic reforms in Georgia. Congressman Boehner expressed his interest specifically in the new innitiatives and planned future reforms in the field of Education and Science. He mentioned that Georgia is one of the leading and exemplary countries in regards to implementing reforms toward democratic values. The Congressman expressed hopes for the continuation of future successful bilateral cooperation with Georgia.
The meeting details with Dimitri Shashkini was placed on the Congress' official web-site under the title “Productive Meetings”. Minister Shashkini also held meetings with other representatives of U.S Congress and introduced them to Georgia's on-going reforms.
