โBucksโ teacher trainings have started
Preparation for the new academic year has begun at the Teacher House, and all first-grade homeroom teachers are undergoing training in teaching with "Books".
Starting from the new academic year, up to 60,000 first-graders and their homeroom teachers will receive netbooks ("Books") specially created for Georgian schools as a gift from the President. The "Book" has been developed based on the recommendations of international experts and is loaded with school programs in compliance with the National Curriculum. Specifically, these include entertaining mathematics, Georgian language, natural science, art, and educational games created for children.
Several groups of teachers prepare daily at the Teacher House to conduct the educational process using netbooks. The training course covers the following topics:
- Familiarization with the technical characteristics of "Books" and computer skills;
- Within the framework of e-learning: file sharing within the local network, assigning tasks, and monitoring them on students' computers;
- Integrating online resources into the curriculum;
- Retrieving photo and video files via the internet;
- Planning lessons using "Books", etc.
The training is conducted in two stages and lasts for 9 days. The first stage will conclude in Tbilisi at the end of July, and in the regions, at the beginning of September. The "Book" training is conducted by the Teacher House throughout Georgia, and it involves first-grade homeroom teachers from all schools, as well as Georgian language and mathematics teachers who will conduct classes for first-graders.
