Statement of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia

The state will fully cover the tuition fees for the new 2012-2013 academic year for students from families affected by the natural disaster in the Kakheti region who study in state higher education institutions. In the near future, the municipalities of the Kakheti region will submit the relevant data to the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, on the basis of which the Ministry will take immediate action.

The decision to cover the tuition fees for students was announced by the President of Georgia during a meeting with disaster victims in Kakheti.
