A new vocational college and House of Teachers are being built in Ambrolauri
Starting next year, a modern standard institution will open in the Racha-Lechkhumi region, housing a vocational college and a Teachers' House. Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Khatia Dekanoidze inspected the site in Ambrolauri where the new construction has commenced.
The vocational college "Erkvani," which was previously housed in an old, dilapidated building, will continue its operations in a modern, glass-paneled metal-structure building. The professions taught at "Erkvani" are in high demand among the population of the Racha-Lechkhumi region. Therefore, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia made the decision to construct a new building for the college.
The vocational college will be equipped with a modern material and technical base and all necessary inventory. Interested individuals will be able to master such in-demand professions at the college as heavy machinery operator, tractor operator, viticulturist, winemaker, veterinarian, beekeeper, accountant, jeweler, enamel artisan, information technology specialist, and others.
The same building will house the third Teachers' House in Georgia, which will serve the educators of the Racha-Lechkhumi region. Supporting teachers and ensuring the development of vocational education are state priorities; consequently, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is implementing significant projects in these directions.
