A memorandum was signed with the German side

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH "Private Sector Development Programs".

The memorandum concerns the provision of assistance by GIZ to the Ministry in the field of labor market-oriented vocational education policy.

The said memorandum defines the responsibilities and obligations of the partners for cooperation in such areas of vocational education as the relevance of vocational education, financing, dialogue, monitoring, the image of vocational education, and quality improvement.

GIZ, on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, has been cooperating with the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia since 2009, supporting the Ministry in the process of vocational education reform through capacity building and advisory services. The memorandum signed today provides an opportunity to further strengthen the dynamic cooperation established between the Ministry and GIZ.
