Construction of a new school has begun in the village of Zedavani

The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is launching the construction of new schools. Today, the foundation for a new school was laid in the Imereti region. A modern school in the village of Zemovani, Vani district, will become operational in 2013. According to Deputy Minister Giorgi Chakhnashvili, the Ministry is beginning to fulfill its commitment, which provides for the construction of 150 public schools throughout Georgia over the next 4 years.
For 20 years, the youth of the village of Zemovani have been studying in an uncomfortable environment, unsuitable for learning, located inside a former municipality building. This major problem for the local population will be solved by the construction of the new school, and starting from the next academic year, 150 students of the Zemovani Public School will continue their studies in a modern school facility.
The two-story European-standard school will be equipped with modern school furniture and new computers. The school will feature indoor and outdoor sports grounds with artificial turf, a school laboratory, a library, an assembly hall, and will have a capacity for 200 students.
