The International Technological University opened in Batumi

The President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, and the Minister of Education and Science, Khatia Dekanoidze, opened the new Technological University. The project, within the framework of which the university was founded, aims to overcome the shortage of qualified specialists in the fields of engineering, technology, natural sciences, and computer science in Georgia, as well as to increase students' interest in these fields.
In the modern Technological University, which complies with American and European standards, the main focus areas will be precisely technological, informational, and engineering disciplines. In the future, the university will award Bachelor’s, Master’s, and presumably Doctoral degrees in these fields.
The future university will have the following faculties: Civil Engineering, Information Technology (IT), Applied Physics and Mathematics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Chemical and Biological Technologies, Materials Science, etc.
The American Technological University project in Batumi is being implemented in cooperation with the US Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
