International Requests for Proposals

In order to fund preparatory work to be carried out prior to the ratification of the second compact, a grant agreement was signed between MCC and the Government of Georgia on July 13, 2012. Within the framework of this agreement, the Millennium Challenge Fund-Georgia announces an international tender for consulting services to implement the following English-language international programs:

1. Improving General Education: Consultant Services for Training Educators for Excellence and Classroom, National and International Assessment Support Activity Project Design (Elaboration of the General Education Development Promotion Project) - Announcement date: February 5, 2013, deadline for submission of proposals: April 4, 2013;

2. Selection of Partner Institution(s) for Capacity Building and Establishing Bachelor Degree Programs in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Higher Education in Georgia (Selection of partner institution(s) for the elaboration and development of bachelor's degree programs in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) - Announcement date: February 7, 2013, deadline for submission of proposals: March 22, 2013;

3. Studies of Labor Demand, Barriers to Participation in STEM Education Programs and Occupations in Georgia (Study of existing barriers and/or challenges for vulnerable populations and women in acquiring general, vocational, and higher education in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics; analysis of deficit professions with high employer demand) - Announcement date: February 7, 2013, deadline for submission of proposals: March 25, 2013;

4. Assessment of the physical condition and rehabilitation requirements of proposed schools, including environmental and social considerations; and preparation of specifications, cost estimates, detailed design, and procurement materials. Assistance in the preparation of work plans, schedules, and operations and maintenance strategies and requirements (Preliminary assessment of works to be implemented in the school rehabilitation component, assessment of the physical condition of schools, drawing up a work plan, and elaboration of a school maintenance/upkeep strategy - Announcement date and deadline for submission of proposals will be specified later).
