Ethnic minority training center launched

Zurab Zhvania School of Public Administration opens new regional training centers in new and renews official language teaching programs for civil servants working in the areas settled with ethnic minorities. Today, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Giorgi Sharvashidze opened the renewed training center in Dmanisi together with the representatives of local self-government.

Within the program for integration in unified state administration space, seventy representatives of ethnic minorities employed in Dmanisi self-government and the local agencies of the central government shall take a 3-month basic course of the official language at Dmanisi center. Successful graduates will be awarded with certificates and they will be given an opportunity to take complete course in Governance in Kutaisi, Zurab Zhvania School of Public Administration.

Today, Zurab Zhvania School of Public Administration renews teaching process in regional training centers in Akhalkalaki, Ninotsminda, Tsalka, Gardabani, Bolnisi, Marneuli and village Lambalo, Sagarejo Municipality.

The Official language program aims to explore the basics of the language, to enable the program listeners to read and write in English, talk about everyday life topics, write simple text messages, letters and documents for work proceedings.

During 2014, Zurab Zhvania School of Public Administration is planning to train more than 2000 ethnic minority representatives employed in government bodies throughout Georgia.
