The "Future Camp" has opened in Anaklia. The program is implemented by the Children and Youth National Center of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs. The project is supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. The "Future Camp" has already received its first group of students.
The official opening ceremony of the camp was attended by Minister of Education and Science Tamar Sanikidze, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Levan Kipiani, and invited guests.
The beneficiaries of the "Future Camp" are adolescents aged 14-18 from all regions of Georgia. The selection of participants was carried out by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. Priority was given to students with high academic performance, including socially vulnerable individuals, internally displaced persons, and members of large families. Throughout the summer, a total of 1,728 adolescents will rest across 6 groups.
Leaders on the camp premises will ensure the management of participants, their involvement in programmatic activities, and the maintenance of discipline. Each group of 24 participants will be supervised by two leaders of different genders, who were selected on the basis of training.
The aim of the project is to provide young people with active recreation through various cultural-educational and entertainment-educational activities, to offer them the opportunity to acquire non-formal education, to enhance their physical, spiritual, and intellectual potential, and to promote social integration, a healthy lifestyle, and the integration of ethnic minorities living in Georgia.
