The Mandaturi Service summarized the results of its work for the 2013–2014 academic year
Representatives of the Educational Institution Mandaturi Service summarized the work carried out during the 2013–2014 academic year and discussed the important projects implemented over the course of the academic year.
Qualitatively transformed, the Mandaturi Service has become acceptable to the public and focused on student safety. The Mandaturi Service provides schools with comprehensive services in the form of mandaturi (school officers), psychological centers, and vocational orientation/career planning in schools. School officers are focused not only on the safety of students and school personnel, but also contribute to creating a healthy psychological climate in schools. According to statistics for 2013 and 2014, cases of violence, disruption of classes, and the consumption of alcohol and tobacco in schools have significantly decreased.
The Psychological Center based at the Mandaturi Service operates very productively, providing services to school students aged 6 to 18 and their families who need a psychologist's advice or assistance. The consultations received at the center help students and their parents solve many important problems. Psychological centers operate in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi. In accordance with existing demand, the opening of similar centers is planned in the near future in Gori, Poti, Telavi, Ozurgeti, and the Racha region.
The Mandaturi Service also implements the "Vocational Orientation and Career Planning" project initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science. The goal of the project is to help 9th, 10th, and 11th-grade students adequately assess and develop their abilities and make the right career choice. Vocational orientation and career planning specialists systematically process and collect information related to labor market demands and provide it to students.
The Mandaturi Service actively cooperates with international organizations such as UNICEF, USAID, PH International, and NASRO. This cooperation makes the activities effective. This type of cooperation will continue and deepen in the future.
