The issue of Georgia's associate membership in CERN enters an active phase

In the event of associate membership, Georgia will be able to participate in international tenders announced by CERN, which will make a significant contribution to stimulating the country's economy. It will open the path to the international arena for Georgian mathematicians, physicists, engineers, and IT specialists. Associate membership is a new phase of collaboration that will allow Georgia not only to increase the quota of scientists working at CERN, but also to send more young scientists and doctoral students to participate in research, and at the same time, take part in the grand projects implemented by CERN.
The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) represents the world's largest international scientific project. Active negotiations on Georgia's associate membership in the European Organization for Nuclear Research began a few months ago when Minister Tamar Sanikidze was on an official visit to CERN. To date, the Ministry of Education cooperates with CERN within the framework of various projects.
