Involvement of Georgian young scientists in the projects of the International Center for Physics is being discussed
Participation in the projects of the International Centre for Theoretical Physics will enable Georgian scientists and doctoral students to engage in the intensive scientific activities carried out by the Centre across numerous directions. For Georgian researchers, this will serve as an excellent platform to establish multilateral scientific contacts and, consequently, to participate in the research of contemporary issues.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Tamar Sanikidze, and Deputy Minister Gia Sharvashidze participated in the international symposium held in Trieste, Italy, dedicated to the 50th jubilee of the International Centre for Theoretical Physics, which has now concluded. The symposium was attended by ministers of education and science from 6 countries, heads of state, Nobel laureates, the Secretary-General of UNESCO, the Director-General of the International Organization for Nuclear Physics of the Centre, and heads of scientific research.
Within the framework of the symposium, the Georgian delegation held meetings with the Secretary-General of UNESCO and the leadership of CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research). As a result, the issue of Georgia's associated membership in the Centre has moved into an active phase.
