The textbook, which is a collection of developmental exercises in the Georgian language and mathematics, is designed in such a way that students with special educational needs will learn reading, writing, and mathematics with enthusiasm and interest. The tasks are focused on the development of perception, attention, speech, thinking, and fine motor skills. The book focuses on a multi-sensory approach, which implies processing information through various sensory channels during the teaching process, depending on the objectives of the tasks.

These books are intended for students with special educational needs (SEN) who, based on the conclusion of the multidisciplinary team, find it difficult to master the national curriculum and need individual educational plans. Educational resources for students with special educational needs in the country are very limited. Consequently, the book will help subject teachers and special educators achieve their educational goals.

The publication of the supplementary textbooks in Georgian language and mathematics, authored by Tsira Narmania, a member of the Multidisciplinary Team of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, was funded this year by the "Tree of Life" charitable foundation established by the Bank of Georgia. In the future, it is planned to publish the second level of the books.
