Conference "For the Reform of the General Education System" Held
Lia Gigauri, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, participated in the working process of the conference "For the Reform of the General Education System", organized by the public organizations "Coalition Education for All - Georgia".
As a member organization of the Global Campaign for Education (GCE), the "Coalition Education for All - Georgia" promotes the implementation of Education for All goals in Georgia, which implies, among other objectives, improving the quality of general education.
At the conference, member organizations of the coalition – the International Institute for Education Policy Planning and Management and the Association "School, Family, Society" – presented a problem analysis and the coalition's recommendations, followed by a discussion on the following issues:
- Policy for the development of teachers' professional associations
- School boards of trustees
The conference was attended by education experts, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, as well as international and local public organizations.
