New Project for Persons with Disabilities
On December 3, World Disability Day, the presentation of the project "Reality, Reaction, Rehabilitation" was held at "Rea's Squirrels" – the only social cafe in the South Caucasus, where persons with disabilities and mental development issues are employed. Tamar Sanikidze, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, attended the event. On the same day, a memorandum of cooperation and mutual support was also signed, and the "Trirea" club was introduced.
The organizers of the event presented musical performances to the guests, in which persons with disabilities participated alongside representatives of the "Mtiebi" Ethnomusic Theatre and the "Amer-Imeri" children's folklore studio. An exhibition and sale of works created by persons with disabilities was also held.
The joint project "Reality, Reaction, Rehabilitation" by Media Palitra and Tbilisi State Medical University will be implemented over the course of one year. Within the framework of the project, a photography initiative will be launched, featuring well-known public figures, TSMU students, journalists from Media Palitra, and persons with disabilities. The photo project will conclude with an exhibition after one year.
