Tamar Sanikidze hosted the students of the 200th Boarding School
Visiting the Ministry of Education, and specifically the press center, was the students' desire; they shared this wish with the Minister during one of her visits to their school. As promised, Tamar Sanikidze personally hosted the students and gave them a tour of the building and the environment where the press center is located. The children learned how video recording and editing are performed and how a journalist works; they also tried using photo and television cameras themselves and captured memorable footage.
Within the framework of the event, the students recited poems and performed songs by the Christmas tree, and received New Year gifts from Santa Claus.
According to Tamar Sanikidze, meeting these particular students and fulfilling their wishes is of special importance to her, since they require care, assistance, and basic attention more than others.
One of the priority directions of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is the development of inclusive education. A number of projects are being implemented for students with special educational needs, including projects that provide for the active involvement of these adolescents in the educational process, providing them with educational programs tailored to their needs, and their integration into society.
