For raising the quality of education, the continuous development of teachers' competencies is a crucial factor in both the state and private educational systems.
Therefore, today, Lia Gigauri, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, held a working meeting with representatives of private schools.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the new teacher professional development scheme and cooperation towards the common goal associated with improving the quality of teaching and learning.
"At the meeting, we discussed how teacher professional development should take place in the private system, where harmonization with the new teacher professional development scheme can occur, and where the free space should be, allowing private schools themselves to determine the directions of teacher development," stated Lia Gigauri.
