Cooperation for the Development of Construction Vocational Education

A working meeting on the cooperation between the construction sector and vocational educational institutions was held at the Public College "Spektri". The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, colleges, international and local organizations, NCTD, construction organizations, private colleges, employers and business associations, as well as entrepreneurs and experts.

Education is significantly connected with the labor market reform, which makes a major contribution to economic development. The private sector also benefits from vocational education by easily finding suitable personnel. It is precisely qualified personnel that makes a company competitive in the international and local markets. The private sector's demand for qualified and motivated personnel can be met through close ties with vocational educational institutions.

The meeting discussed best examples of such cooperation using College "Spektri" as a case study. The college's cooperation with the private sector provides an incentive to establish even closer relations with various companies, which is essential for the development of the existing sector and the creation of new, future-oriented construction educational programs.
