Validation process to promote vocational education
The validationโmeaning the final agreement on the document produced by the relevant line ministries, associations, international and educational institutionsโwill be ensured by the Deutsche Gesellschaft fรผr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). German experts who are on a working visit to Georgia are also involved in the process.
The purpose of the process is to create a safe learning environment for acquiring vocational education, equipped with adequate material and technical resources.
The Ministry of Education and Science, together with stakeholders, has been working for two years on the creation of new vocational standards and modular programs. However, in order to train specialists with appropriate qualifications, a suitable environment and equipment are essential. To this end, in cooperation with the Infrastructure Development Agency of the Ministry, minimum norms for technical equipment and the learning environment have been developed. Currently, the norms for the environment and technical equipment required for each module of 36 vocational programs have been drawn up, and the validation of the developed products is underway together with German experts.
In connection with the launch of the validation process, Ketevan Natriashvili, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, the management of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement of the Ministry, and invited experts from Germany held a press conference today.
