Meeting with the Polish Delegation
Representatives of the Polish company Plagiat.pl were on a working visit to Georgia. The said company is a leader in anti-plagiarism software in the Polish and Romanian markets. The company's Executive Director Sebastian Kawczyński and other members of the delegation met with Giorgi Sharvashidze, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, and shared their experience.
More than 230 universities worldwide use the services of the Polish company. Plagiarism represents a global problem and poses a threat to the quality of education; therefore, the company's mission is to protect the highest standards of education and prevent plagiarism among students and doctoral candidates. Representatives of Plagiat.pl are members of the advisory body that created the law on the mandatory verification of all master's and bachelor's theses.
To eradicate plagiarism from the Georgian academic space and improve the quality of education, the Ministry's leadership is ready to review and share the successful experiences of other countries.
