The first stage of rehabilitation has been completed at the "Spektri" College

First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Ketevan Natriashvili inspected the ongoing renovation works at the Public College "Spektri" โ the college is undergoing the rehabilitation and universal design adaptation process for its student dormitory and hotel. The first stage of the works has already been completed; starting from the new academic year, the modern-standard dormitory and hotel will serve students from the regions, as well as socially vulnerable vocational students. Professors arriving from abroad within the framework of exchange programs will also reside here.
Most importantly, if desired, students with special educational needs and disabilities will also be able to use the dormitory. It is noteworthy that the college's dormitory and hotel are being built with a universal design that has never been implemented before in similar buildings anywhere; here, persons with disabilities will be able to access floors and move around the space completely independently and comfortably.
Increasing access to education is a main priority of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. In this regard, functional educational infrastructure is of vital importance. Therefore, the rehabilitation and universal design adaptation process of educational institutions is continuously underway throughout Georgia.
