Festive reception for Georgian sinologists
Tamar Sanikidze greeted the university and school communities and congratulated the Chinese people on the occasion. The Minister emphasized that the doors to many fields have been opened for Georgia in the Republic of China, and that without the close cooperation between the Ministry and the Chinese Embassy, this relationship would not have been as effective.
As a result of successful bilateral cooperation, it is becoming possible for education and science to become one of the leading topics. It is also important that Chinese is offered as the third elective foreign language in schools.
Georgia's relations with China in both school and higher education are noteworthy. "It is welcome to discuss specific proposals in order to lay the foundation for mutually beneficial projects. We welcome our relations with China in the field of science, as Georgia will become a member of Horizon 2020, and we will work with our Chinese colleagues to present joint, large-scale projects to this fund. We reaffirm our commitment to being reliable partners," stated the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia.
