Dmitri Shashkin met with teachers in the city of Akhaltsikhe

Minister of Education and Science Dimitri Shashkin met with more than 70 teachers from all seven public schools of Akhaltsikhe at Akhaltsikhe Public School #I. The meeting was introductory in nature and was held in a Q&A format. First, the Minister introduced the teachers to the innovations that are currently being implemented or are planned for the near future. Dimitri Shashkin also familiarized himself with the problems existing in the education system of the multi-ethnic Samtskhe-Javakheti region and listened to the opinions of local teachers on ways to solve them.

 During the meeting, Dimitri Shashkin focused on insurance vouchers and once again explained to the teachers that they are completely free in choosing their insurance company.

Meetings of this type will continue in the future, as a result of which the Minister will assess the situation in the field of education together with the teachers and discuss new ways of implementing the reform through consultation with them.
