Business Skills in Primary Education (BSPE)
The final conference of the Business Skills Program, part of the USAID-funded Georgia Primary Education Project (G-PriEd), has been held.
The purpose of the conference was to present the report of the activities carried out within the framework of the program to the public. During the conference, the results achieved through conducting business skills lessons during the 2015-2018 academic years were briefly reviewed, and gratitude was expressed to each school principal, teacher, student, and private sector volunteer involved in the project who conducted the lessons completely free of charge and shared their professional experience with the youth.
Among the speakers were: Lia Gigauri, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia; Caroline Jenner, CEO of Junior Achievement Europe; as well as representatives from G-PriEd, USAID, the private sector, and public and private schools, who spoke about the importance of the program itself, international experience, achieved results, and future plans.
At the end of the conference, the premiere screening of the 2nd episode of the animated film “Children from Our Street”, created within the framework of the project, took place.
