School infrastructure will be improved in many schools in the Samegrelo region

This year in the Samegrelo region, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, together with the Municipal Development Fund, will carry out various infrastructural works in more than 20 public schools. The project includes construction, as well as reinforcement and rehabilitation works. Some of the projects are currently underway, while others will commence in the near future. The ongoing and planned works were personally inspected by Deputy Minister Natia Zedginidze, together with representatives of local self-government, in villages located within the Tsalenjikha, Zugdidi, Martvili, Abasha, and Khobi municipalities.

Within the framework of her three-day working visit to the Samegrelo region, Natia Zedginidze also visited several educational resource centers and met with the local population of several villages. The Deputy Minister provided the population with information on the projects to be implemented within the framework of the Village Support Program. The program includes a number of vital projects for various villages, among which is the improvement of areas surrounding schools.
