A new regulation has come into force regarding the passing of examinations for persons entitled to study in higher educational institutions without passing the Unified National Examinations. This is an exception, and the main basis for this exception has been the creation and provision of equal conditions and an environment accessible to everyone. The obligation to pass the examination organized by the National Assessment and Examinations Center shall apply only to those persons who obtained the right to study in a foreign country, in a higher educational institution recognized in accordance with the legislation of that country, starting from January 1, 2019.
By the decision of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, students will be able to continue their studies in Georgia only if they pass the General Critical Skills Examination. The successful passing of this examination implies the confirmation of the student's minimum competence for readiness to study in an authorized higher educational institution of Georgia.
The examination will be held on February 11, and all registered applicants have the opportunity to participate in it (if they so wish).
