The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Batiashvili, held a working meeting with the Ambassador of Germany to Georgia, Hubert Knirsch, and representatives of the Deutsche Gesellschaft fรผr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The main topic of the meeting was the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the field of vocational education.
According to Mikheil Batiashvili, vocational education is one of the key priorities within the framework of educational reforms. Germany is our main partner in this direction, possessing the world's best experience in dual education. This country is involved not only through its expertise but also through its resources to ensure that as many dual models as possible are established in Georgia, enabling numerous young people to acquire professions in various fields. The Minister stated that a number of projects are being implemented in this regard, and many activities have been planned for the future.
โToday we had another very good meeting with the Minister and members of his team regarding the sharing of German experience in the field of vocational education. Cooperation with Georgia in the framework of vocational education reform will be further deepened. As you know, Germany is one of the leading countries in terms of the development of vocational education, and sharing this experience with Georgia is of great importance to us. We have been cooperating with the Georgian side in this direction for years, but we want to deepen this cooperation even further. I believe the forum planned for the summer will serve as an excellent platform for this,โ stated the German Ambassador.
