100 Years of Georgian Parliamentarism
In connection with the 100th anniversary of the first session of the Constituent Assembly of the First Democratic Republic of Georgia, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, in cooperation with the Parliament of Georgia, held an essay contest for school students and university students. The winners of the contest were awarded by Irakli Kobakhidze, the Chairman of the Parliament.
The aim of the contest was to foster interest and raise awareness among young people regarding the legislative body of the First Democratic Republic of Georgia – the Constituent Assembly – as well as to showcase their perspectives on the role of parliamentarism in the state-building process.
