Ensemble "Basiani" is participating in a Georgian wine exhibition in Japan

In Japan, the Georgian wine exhibition within the project "Georgia - Cradle of Wine" will be held. In partnership with the world's largest company, Sony Music Communications, and TOPPAN, Georgia will present itself to the Japanese public in Tokyo for the second time. For the official opening of the exhibition, the "Basiani" ensemble will perform several traditional Georgian songs.
"Georgian polyphony, wine, and the grapevine are inseparable from one another. The unique wine exhibition in Japan – 'Georgia - Cradle of Wine' – is a momentous cultural event in the history of our country. The 'Basiani' ensemble will perform: 'Kakhetian Mravalzhamieri', the Gurian Krimanchuli – 'Khasanbegura', 'Shen Khar Venakha', and 'Chakrulo'," states Giorgi Donadze, artistic director of the ensemble.
An important contribution of the Japanese partners to the project is the revival of ancient Georgian culture and wine history using the cutting-edge technology "Warpsquare", which visitors will be able to see at the "Terrada Warehouse" exhibition center.
The exposition brings together unique archaeological exhibits and modern technologies, based on highlighting the uniqueness of Georgian wine culture. Exhibition visitors will have the opportunity to travel to the cradle of ancient wine with the help of interactivity, which is precisely what the "Warpsquare" technology allows.
The exposition dedicated to the history of Georgian wine will run from March 15 to May 7.
