Students who won the Niko Ketskhoveli School Prize will spend their holidays at the "Future Camp"
Natia Zedginidze, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, and Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, opened the final event of the Niko Ketskhoveli School Prize environmental competition, the winners of which – 50 finalist students – will be awarded vouchers to the "Future Camp".
In 2019, the theme of the competition is "Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs) and it unites up to 500 schools nationwide. The winning schools will receive 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree awards, selected from 32 school teams of Georgia by a jury comprised of representatives from state, international, and scientific organizations. The finalist schools will present to the public the important changes they have been implementing throughout the year in response to global challenges, both in large cities and small mountain villages of Georgia.
The large-scale school environmental competition – the Niko Ketskhoveli School Prize – has been held since 2015 by CENN, with the financial support of Austrian Development Cooperation. The co-organizers of the competition are the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, and the Parliament of Georgia.
