Presentation of the Textbook "History of Art"

With the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts has published the textbook "History of Art" (16th–17th Century Europe).

The presentation of the book was held at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.

The event was led by Tea Oniani, Deputy Director of the Culture Department of the Ministry, and Giorgi Gugushvili, Rector of the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts named after Apolon Kutateladze.

The publication is a translation of chapters XXI, XXII, and XXIII of the book "Art History" by well-known American authors Marilyn Stokstad and Michael W. Cothren.

Within the framework of the presentation, the electronic journal "Art and Text" was also introduced.

The project is an initiative of the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts and aims to support the development of the field of art theory in Georgia. The main topics of the electronic journal include: contemporary art, cultural heritage, international processes, works of young researchers, and others.
