The Director General of the Rustaveli Foundation and the Vice-President of Goethe University Frankfurt opened the Shota Rustaveli Cabinet in Frankfurt am Main

On June 7, 2019, at Goethe University Frankfurt in Germany, Prof. Zviad Gabisonia, Director General of the Rustaveli Foundation; Prof. Rolf van Dijk, Vice President for International Relations at Goethe University Frankfurt; Levan Diasamidze, Consul General of Georgia in Frankfurt; and Prof. Manana Tandashvili inaugurated the Shota Rustaveli Cabinet at the Faculty of Linguistics and Cultural Studies. The author of the idea, renowned German Kartvelologist and Managing Director of the Institute of Empirical Linguistics, Prof. Jost Gippert, presented the unique project "Digitization of Rustaveli in Various Languages," aimed at popularizing Georgian culture and literature. The solemn opening ceremony was attended by Georgian Kartvelologists working in Frankfurt as well as other foreign scholars of Georgian studies. Zviad Gabisonia and Rolf van Dijk discussed the deepening of cooperation between the Rustaveli Foundation and Goethe University Frankfurt and the prospects for implementing joint research projects.
