The Ministry begins accepting applications for the recognition of sports organizations
The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia has started accepting applications for the purpose of reviewing the recognition of sports organizations. The received applications will be reviewed by the consultative body at the Ministry – the Council for the Recognition and Financing of Sports Organizations, the decisions of which will be approved by the Minister's order.
The deadline for submitting applications is January 13, 2020.
For the purpose of reviewing the issue of recognition, sports organizations must submit an application addressed to the Minister, along with the following attachments:
- Extract of registration from the Public Registry;
- Statutes of the organization;
- Document confirming membership in the relevant international organization;
- Long-term strategy and action plan (at least 5 years);
- Activity report in accordance with Annex #1 (at least 6 months);
- Number of athletes, coaches and referees in accordance with Annex #2.
The issue of recognition of a sports organization shall be considered only if the organization was founded at least 6 months prior to the submission of the application.
