“Second Chance at Education with Social Inclusion” - Summary Conference
A conference entitled "Second Chance at Education through Social Inclusion" was held at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia.
Deputy Minister Eka Dgebuadze addressed the conference participants and spoke about the importance of the program.
This conference served as a summarizing event of the "Inclusive Education Support Program" of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport. Guests had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the results of 18 projects funded within the framework of the program. They also viewed handicrafts themed around Roma and Meskhetian culture, prepared in craft clubs organized in schools, and listened to presentation topics prepared through the cooperation of sub-program beneficiaries and volunteers regarding the history, daily life, and cultural identity of the Roma and Meskhetians living in Georgia. These activities contribute to ensuring access to quality education for Roma and Meskhetian adolescents, improving their proficiency in the state language, as well as fostering tolerant attitudes among the sub-program volunteers and raising their self-awareness for civic formation.
