Presentation of Anzor Erkomaishvili's scientific work: "Georgia. History. Culture. Ethnography."

At the National Youth and Children's Palace, the International Charitable Foundation "Cartu" and the International Centre of Georgian Folk Song (headed by Anzor Erkomaishvili) held a presentation of a scientific publication on national culture.
"Georgia. History. Culture. Ethnography" is a unique English-language edition that presents research on Georgian cultural heritage. Notably, the third volume of the work brings together 2,491 samples of unique Georgian folk songs, chants, instrumental music, and folk dances recorded from 1901 to the present day.
The idea of creating the book belongs to Frank Columbus, President of the American publishing house "NOVA SCIENCE", and his wife, Nadia Gotsiridze-Columbus. In 2010, they asked ethnomusicician and choir master Anzor Erkomaishvili to implement this idea and personally covered the publication costs.
The implementation of the project was supported by Bidzina Ivanishvili. The International Charitable Foundation "Cartu" financially provided for the preparation of the project, which included carrying out exploratory work, restoring and cleaning photo, visual, audio, and video materials, producing original materials, creating works, editing, translating into English, and more.
The goal of the authors of the three-volume edition is to send this work to the largest archives and libraries in many countries around the world.
The presentation was attended by Bidzina Ivanishvili, founder of the "Cartu" Charitable Foundation; Nadia Gotsiridze-Columbus, representative of the American publishing house "NOVA SCIENCE"; Mikheil Chkhenkeli, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia; Nikoloz Chkhetiani, Chairman of the Board of the International Charitable Foundation "Cartu"; as well as representatives of the executive and legislative branches, educational circles, and the scientific community.
