New vocational education opportunities are being created in the Kakheti region

Comprehensive cooperation in the field of vocational education is being launched between the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia and the wine-producing company "Winery Khareba".
At the first stage, the company plans to implement dual programs in cooperation with the Telavi Vocational College, as well as to offer vocational training and retraining programs to the local population.
Regarding this important new initiative, Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, met with representatives of "Winery Khareba" and College "Prestige" in Kvareli. Within the framework of the meeting, the opportunities of vocational education for private sector development were discussed. The parties also emphasized that the introduction of dual programs has significantly increased the employment rate of vocational education graduates and their competitiveness in the labor market.
Tamar Kitiashvili: "I am glad that a new opportunity for providing vocational education will emerge in the Kvareli Municipality; this is a welcome fact, as cooperation between a private company and an educational institution is the best format for the development of vocational education. We hope this cooperation will yield fruitful results."
During dual learning, the private company and the vocational college jointly plan and implement the program, while the student also gains significant work experience in the learning process. Such cooperation with the company is a novelty for College "Prestige", which operates in Telavi and is currently undergoing a significant renewal process. Specifically, the complete rehabilitation of the college infrastructure and the preparation of new programs in accordance with the needs of the region are underway.
