The Ministry expresses its condolences on the passing of Eter Mgaloblishvili

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia expresses its deep sorrow over the death of Eter Mgaloblishvili, founder of the Georgian organ school, Honored Artist of Georgia, and Professor.

From 1965 to 2012, Eter Mgaloblishvili engaged in pedagogical activities at the Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire. Over the years, she served as the sole female member of the jury at the J. S. Bach International Organ Competition in Leipzig, as well as a jury member for international organ competitions in Moscow, Vilnius, Gorky, and Kishinev.

Eter Mgaloblishvili was the first performer of numerous organ compositions in Georgia.
